Copper

Base with mixture of Burnt Sienna, Cad, Red light. and a touch of white.
Paint shadow with Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson and Phthalo Blue to grey it down a bit.
Highlight using White, Cad. Red light. Cad. Orange
Dark reflections use Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber
Light reflections use Cad. Red Light and a light grey.
Cast shadow would be it's compliment: blue

Brass

Base with Burn Umber, Cad. Yellow Medium.
Paint shadow with Phthalo Blue and Alizarin Crimson.
Highlight using even amounts of Cad. yellow light and Cad yellow medium, white for the first highlight then add Cad Yellow Light with white as the second highlight.
Darker Reflections use Alizarin Crimson and Lamp Black.
Light Reflections use Cad. Yellow Medium
Cast shadow would be it's compliment: violet

Light reflections use the colors that you see reflected adding a touch of grey to tone it down.
